MY CREDENTIALS:
As a Doctor of Chiropractic, I attended multiple years of undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate studies. I performed additional postgraduate I work with, and was simultaneously employed by a well-known neurosurgeon in the Houston area. Most chiropractors do not get this type of exposure to examining patients, observing surgery, assisting in post-surgery recovery, as well as extensive exposure examining X-rays, MRIs, CTs, and myelograms.
I feel my education and clinical experience exceeds that of many doctors when it comes to the field of nueromusculoskeletal problems. I have the clinical experience to recognize deeper issues and to know the appropriate treatment options and/or referral avenues. My experience has also given me great insight into the extremes of surgery. I can help you understand which procedures may be beneficial and which may be detrimental. I do practice with the attitude that surgery, while sometimes is the only alternative, SHOULD BE THE LAST ALTERNATIVE CONSIDERED, AND ONLY WHEN EVERY OTHER FORM OF TREATMENT HAS FAILED. Each time your body endures an invasive procedure of even a simple surgery, the adverse effects after surgery can be as serious as the issue that the surgery was supposed to correct.
My academic accomplishments include a B.S in Human Biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. I also attended multiple voluntary internships in the medical fields of sports medicine, rehabilitation, orthopedics, family practice and radiology. These internships provided me additional tools and techniques to use in the treatment of patients.
During my chiropractic career, I’ve recognized a large gap in in patient care between surgery and traditional physical therapy. I work have strived to fill that gap with my own unique chiropractic approach that combines the best of chiropractic elements, massage therapy, physiotherapy, exercise, and medical understanding.
