PHILOSOPHY:

What sets me apart from other chiropractors is my desire to get patients back to their normal life as quickly as possible. The cornerstone of my chiropractic practice is based upon my belief in treating every patient with a customized, well-rounded recovery program. When you are in pain, that pain is caused either by a sudden event or by an accumulation of years worth of small events that grow into a painful situation. Therefore, each and every person’s physical and/or emotional condition is different. Sadly, many patients do not realize that they have a large variety of treatment options available. Because of the constantly improving variety of possibilities, I have structured my practice around the principle of flexibility when treating each patient. I work hard to maintain a sincere sensitivity and understanding that every person in pain is also experiencing emotional pain. Both types of pain must heal. My job is to help the physical pain disappear, while being sympathetic to your emotional concerns as well.

A special note here: when I refer to psychological conditions, I am very serious. Do not ever think that a “psychological condition” indicates that your pain is not very real. In fact, no patient that has had to endure physical pain for any length of time can escape the resulting psychological implications. These issues are nothing to be embarrassed about; they are a valid part of the patient assessment and an element that is dealt with in every patient who is enduring pain. No, your pain is not “ALL IN YOUR HEAD.” This issue also speaks to my dedication to treat the whole patient, not just the part that “hurts.”

I do believe in the value of chiropractic care – that is why I love what I do. I stay current with the latest scientific research and have always maintained close ties with doctors and other caregivers to provide my patients with the best care possible. I don’t believe that the majority of people need long-term, constant or “maintenance” chiropractic care, I structure my treatment of each patient with the eventual goal that they recover and leave me. For those patients who WILL require some sort of life-long or long term treatment program, I teach those patients the proper posture, exercise techniques and the like to use at home. Then, they can just “visit” me occasionally when the feel a visit is needed.

Manipulative chiropractic procedures are essential tools to treating many conditions, and amazing results have been achieved in patients for whom other treatments have failed.

However, Chiropractic care is much more than just “popping” joints

The latest medical research proves that most soft tissue injuries and neuromusculoskelatal conditions heal much and faster with much better results when treated with an active and aggressive stimulation approach. My treatment philosophy is based on fundamentals such as exercises, functional rehabilitation, posture awareness and self-treatment. I emphasize patient rehabilitation and education. , I teach my patients important self-care techniques, such as procedures to stabilize the spine, proper body mechanics and aerobic musculoskelatal conditioning.

All of that may sound complicated, but what it really means is that I choose the safest, most effective path to assist your recovery – getting you back to health as quickly as possible. If substantial results are not obtained within two to four weeks, I re-evaluate your symptoms and situation to determine if your treatment needs modifying. Since my clinic offers so many different treatment options, I can be flexible in selecting the procedures that best serve you. Therefore, I can monitor your progress at such a personal level that you are re-evaluated at each appointment. Further, I never hesitate to suggest a consultation from a specialist, as needed. So you see, I don’t just “crack your back or joints,” I establish a well-rounded recovery (and or maintenance) program for you. The most important thing to me is YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE.
